1. Installation of wall panels of different materials

Wall panels for fixed furniture in Chengdu hotels mainly include solid wood wall panels, medium-density fiber wall panels, fireproof material wall panels, plastic gusset wall panels, aluminum alloy wall panels, colored steel wall panels, and gypsum board panels. Wall panels etc. Some are rarely used in room decoration, and some of them have similar installation techniques. Today I will talk about the construction of medium density wall panels and solid wood wall panels.

2. Installation of medium density fiber wall panels.

Medium-density fiber wall panels, the base material is medium-density fiber, after the treatment of the decorative layer, the surface presents high-grade log simulation patterns or high-end furniture foils of fashionable art styles, and can also be made into a large number of other decorative patterns.

In addition, the trimming patterns of the decorative panels are infinitely varied, such as right-angled edges, rounded edges, S-shaped edges, and notched edges. corners), skirting boards, etc. The specifications of the medium-density fiber wall panels are mainly 2600mm×150mm×10mm and 2000mm×150mm×10mm; the specifications of the yin and yang corners are 22mm×22mm×2700mm; the specifications of the cover strips (layers) are 60mm×22mm×2500mm; The specification is 22mm×40mm×2700mm.

3. Preparation before installation:

Before installation, first check the dryness of the wall and ceiling, and then start construction if it meets the requirements, and then draw the installation diagram to determine the best combination (vertical or horizontal and calculate the amount of materials required).

When drawing, pay attention to keep a gap of 15-20mm between the ceiling and the wall panel or between the wall and the wall panel. After the calculation, the snap lines are accurately divided into grids on the wall. Finally, prepare the tools. In addition to the usual woodworking tools, you should also prepare clamps, special nails and hammers.

4. Chassis installation:

First, fix the slats on the wall. In addition to being used as the base frame of the wallboard, the slats can also ensure the air circulation between the boards. The size of the fixed slats shall not be less than 20mm×40mm (thickness×width), and the distance between the adjacent fixed slats shall be 400mm.

To properly support all connections, be sure to run at right angles to the direction of the facing panel. It is simpler to use single-sided, planed slats for the wooden chassis, and it is easier to make the trim boards flush. The number and shape of the slats depends on the length and arrangement of the panels and the shape of the room. Vertical underframes are used in standard rooms with smooth wall trim panels, the underframes are at right angles to the orientation of the trim panels, and the spacing of the slats depends on the length of the trim panels. When the veneer is thin, the spacing between the slats shall not be greater than 500mm. The interactive underframe is composed of horizontal and vertical underframes, and is mainly used in new buildings with wet walls and areas with high humidity, and is also used in places that require a high degree of fixing of the underframe, such as ceilings.

5. Installation of wall trim:

The interior should be warm and dry. If it is a new building, the walls and roof should be dried.

The veneer can only be installed 3 days after it has been unpacked. When fixing the slats, use screws with sufficient length, and use wooden spacers when the surface is uneven. In wet houses there should be interactive slats, with the top layer of slats running at right angles to the decking, and if necessary, wood shims at the fixings for reinforcement, which will also help with leveling. Spacer material shall be provided between the slats of the chassis. When decorating an unobstructed continuous wall, it is easier to install from the corner. If the wall surface is irregular (vertical arrangement), start with the door or window with full-size panels, and cut the boards to the required size after reaching the corner.

Always leave a gap of about 10mm between the decorative panel and the ground or top surface, and leave a gap of at least 20mm between the ceiling decorative panel and the wall, which is helpful for air circulation. Set a fixing clip on the tenon on the side next to the wall and fix it with small nails On the slats, fill the first plate with a (bubbly) spirit level.

In addition, round galvanized nails can also be used to fix the trim. Place the clip in the tenon of the exposed trim, nail it into the slats on the chassis, guide the corresponding edge of the next trim into the clip and the tongue and groove of the preceding trim, and so on. If the trim is too short, it will be necessary to cut to size and make butt joints, and the following wall panels will compensate for the butt joints of the previous piece.

6. The last step is to install the corner line and skirting board.

Fancy matching top corners and skirting boards can be placed in the reserved spaces, as an integral part of the overall decorative effect or to cover up uneven wall joints.

7. Installation of solid wood wall panels.

The solid wood wallboard is directly made of birch, basswood, fir wood, pine, etc., after special drying treatment, and has the advantages of insect resistance, corrosion, and easy construction.

The general specifications of solid wood boards are: (thickness) (8-20) mm × (width) 65mm × (length) (1000-4000) mm, (8-20) mm × 85mm × (1000-4000) mm and ( 8-20)mm×95mm×(1000-4000)mm, it can also be designed and customized according to user needs. It also has a series of wall panel auxiliary materials such as wall waistline, top corner line, skirting line, and inner block.

The installation form of solid wood wallboard is the same as that of medium density fiberboard, and most of them adopt horizontal sticking type, direct sticking type and herringbone type. Its construction method is different from that of MDF, and the specific construction steps are as follows.

① First, pop out a horizontal line (for horizontal sticking) or a vertical line (for direct sticking) on the construction part of the wall.

②Construction without inner block. Apply glue directly to the construction site, and apply glue to the back of the solid wood wallboard, and then stick it close to the standard line, one by one, and the thickness should be irregular.

③Construction with inner block. First fix the inner block on the wall, such as the horizontally attached inner block should be arranged vertically, and the straight-attached inner block should be fixed horizontally. The flatness of the inner block should be adjusted well. The requirement of the inner block is the same as that of the medium density fiberboard, and the arrangement density depends on the length of the wallboard.

④ Lay wall panels. When using the glue paste method, apply glue on the inner block now, and then apply glue on the corresponding place on the back of the wallboard to paste. When laying and pasting, paste one piece next to the other, but attention should be paid to the length, thickness and orderly arrangement, and gun nails can also be used to directly fix it on the inner block.

⑤ paint. After the installation is completed, sand it first, and then paint it. Most of the colors of the paint are painted into the natural color of wood.
