The National Bed Federation (NBF) has announced the judges for the 2023 Bed Industry Awards five manufacturers and component suppliers categories.
An independent jury of 11 judges, including five new judges from across the industry, will be present at the Bed Show Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at Telford International Center on September 26th. , to determine which members of the NBF Manufacturers and Suppliers will be selected as winners.
The award provides bed manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and individuals with an opportunity to showcase their accomplishments over the past year.
The Bed Product of the Year Award will be judged by Steve Adams, Founder and CEO of Mattress Online. Sue Davies, owner of Sue Davies Design Solutions. Paul Farley, Editor-in-Chief of Furniture News. Rebecca Malloy, Associated Independent Stores (AIS) bed, cabinet and semi-fitted bedroom cabinet selector. and Dr. James Dunn of Prestige Bed, a new panelist.
Paul Farley will also be judging his Supplier of the Year Component of the Year, Steve, James and Rebecca will also be judging the Distributor/Representative of the Year.
The Component Product of the Year Award welcomes a new judge, Natalie Armstrong, Product and Brand Manager at Sealy UK. Danny Blackmore, New Product Implementation Manager at Silentnight. And he's Sleepeezee's Director of Purchasing, Dave Morris.
The Bed Maker of the Year award will be judged by David Fitzsimmons, director of circular economy consultancy Oakdean Hollins. Richard de Merim, owner and editor of Furnishing Report. New panelist Jonathan Hindle is Chairman of the British Furniture Federation (BFC), M.D., and President of KI Europe.
David and Jonathan will also join Paul Farley as judges for the Component Supplier of the Year Awards.
Two product awards will be judged during the show, and shortlists for her other three awards will be announced before the winners are announced on September 26th. All winners will be featured in a special appendix within the November Furniture News.
Details about all 2023 awards, including how to enter (free of charge) and detailed criteria for each category, are now available on the Bed Show website. Deadlines vary by award, but begin on Friday, July 21st.
