Density board
Medium-density fiberboard is divided into medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and hard fiberboard (high-density board). Medium-density fiberboard with a density of 450-800 kg/m3 and hard fiberboard with a density exceeding 800 kg/m3. Density board is made from plant wood fibers through hot grinding, paving, hot pressing, and other processes. The density board has a smooth surface, excellent material, stable performance, firm edges, and good surface decoration. However, the density board has poor moisture resistance, and its nail-holding power is not as good as particleboard. If the screws become loose after tightening, the density board has low strength and is difficult to fix again. The cabinet can only reach 2100mm. Mainly used for laminate flooring, door panels, partition walls, furniture, etc.
Density board is mainly used for surface treatment in the oil-mixing process in home decoration. Plywood is a three-layer or more thin board made of logs, which is spun into veneers or planed into thin boards, and then bonded with adhesive. Usually made of odd-numbered layers of veneers, the fiber directions of adjacent layers of veneers are arranged and bonded perpendicular to each other. Therefore, there are three-in-one, five-in-one, seven-in-one, and other odd-numbered plywood, which not only have all the advantages of natural wood, such as lightweight, high strength, beautiful texture, and heat insulation but can also make up for some of the natural defects of natural wood. , such as knots, small format, deformation, large differences between vertical mechanics and horizontal mechanics, etc.

Plywood production can rationally utilize logs. Because it has no sawdust, every 2.2-2.5 cubic meters of logs can produce 1 cubic meter of plywood, which can replace about 5 cubic meters of logs being sawn into boards. Every 1 cubic meter of plywood products can also produce 1.2-1.5 cubic meters of residue, which is a better raw material for the production of medium-density fiberboard and particleboard.
Particleboard
Particleboard is made by crushing natural wood into particles, then gluing and pressing them. Because its cross section resembles a honeycomb, it is called a particle board. The particle board is heat-insulating and sound-absorbing, and the board height can reach 2700mm. The environmental protection factor is much higher than that of the density board. Mainly used for heat insulation, sound absorption or ceiling, making furniture, etc.
Currently, many furniture manufacturers use particleboard when customizing hotel furniture and particleboard is also the main material for cabinets. The surface of the particle board is usually pressed on both sides with a melamine facing. After edge sealing, the appearance is the same as MDF. It is assembled with special joints and can be disassembled.
