In order to protect the ecological environment, most areas of the country have been closed to forestry, so most of the wood used to make solid wood furniture products needs to be imported from abroad.

Because of the pure natural wood, there are more wood knots, and without the finger jointing and splicing process, the wood knots cannot be removed and affect the aesthetics of the furniture.

Depending on the appearance of the parts, the form of splicing can be divided into two categories: splicing structure of straight parts and splicing of curved parts: splicing structure of straight parts and splicing structure of curved parts, mainly used for round table inlays, round bun feet, lookout boards and other lap joints.

Flat Piecing

The flat form of solid wood veneer. The joints of narrow solid wood boards are planed straight and the joints of adjacent narrow boards are tight and seamless.

It is easy to process, efficient and has a low loss rate. The joints should be flush during gluing to avoid unevenness.

Beveled Form

The beveled form of solid wood paneling. The beveled joint is a form of solid wood blocking in which the plane of the flat joint is changed to a beveled surface and glued by gluing and pressing. The beveled structure is easier to process and more efficient to produce.

As the gluing surface is increased, the strength of the panel is higher, and the joint surfaces are not aligned when gluing, which can easily produce uneven surfaces.

Cut-outs

The cut-out form of solid wood paneling. It is also known as high and low seam jointing, in which a cut-out is machined at the joint of a narrow panel of solid wood before the panel is put together, and a form of solid wood paneling is used to glue and press the joint with a glue blotter.

The advantage of the cut-out joint is that it is easy to align the panels, prevents unevenness and increases the strength of the joint due to the increased gluing surface, but also increases the rate of loss of solid narrow boards.

Concave and Convex

The concave and convex form of the solid wood panel type. The concave-convex joint is also known as the slotted-spring joint, where a slotted-spring opening should be machined at the joint of a narrow solid wood panel before the panel is put together, and a form of solid wood paneling is used for gluing and pressing.

This structure is easy to align, when the glue seam is cracked, the concave and convex structure of the panel can still cover the glue seam, while the strength of the panel is higher due to the increased gluing surface, often used in the sealing requirements of the higher parts, but the rate of loss of solid wood narrow panels increase.
