Located in the prosperous Jingan District, Shanghai Sukaitai Hotel is the first hotel opened in China by the internationally renowned Sukaitai Hotels and Resorts. Designed by NERI&HU, the hotel officially opened on April 28, 2018.
As soon as you enter the hotel, you can see a completely different style of hotel! The design materials are almost only logs, cement and brass. Although the overall of hotel is simple, it is not monotonous, which looks very advanced and fashionable.
This is due to the detailed design, such as the opening of all the spaces without any partitions, which greatly reduces the layout constraints of traditional hotels. A lot of arc design is used to make the space more warm and lively. In addition, creative artworks have been implanted (a total of more than 30 pieces of hotel artcrafts). At the same time, there is a classic bubble lamp produced by NERI&HU, which is super cute!
Ordinary hotel lobby uses gorgeous marble or dazzling lights, but NERI&HU uses wood to create a warm reception. The dotted lights made people feel relax instantly.
There are also 3 bicycles on the side of the lobby, which are hand-made bamboo bicycles from Kate Wood in the Netherlands. Guests currently staying in the hotel can rent it for free. Ride them and take a stroll on the small road around the hotel, don't be too tide!
